Traditional autumn sowing variety to over-winter for the first dish of the season. Long, well-filled slender pods. Height 90-100cm (36-40in).
Sow October to March in a well-prepared soil in a sunny spot. Sow seeds 5cm deep in double rows, allowing 23-30cm between plants, and 60cm between each row.
Support with stout canes and string.
Pinch out the tips of the plants when in full flower to help the pods swell and to reduce infestation by blackfly.
