This first early seed potato has a tasty old fashioned flavour. Duke of York has a firm texture and makes an excellent roasting potato.
Duke of York seed potatoes are great for:
To sprout seed potatoes, place in a light, cool area. Protect from frost.
Planting can take place as soon as the risk of frost has passed in your area, during spring, Feb - April. Plant 10-13cm (4-5inches) deep in shallow ridges. Seed should be 20-23cm (8-9inches) apart in the row, with 60cm (24inches) between each row.
Earth the plants up when they are 20cm (8inches) tall. This encourages a higher yield of potatoes.
Watering your plants well will improve crop yield and discourage scab from forming.
