The ever popular Stargazer lily - attractive rose red flowers edged in white. Ideal for borders or in containers if supported. Grows to a height of around 70cm and flowers in July.
Lilies like well-drained, moisture retentive soil with plenty of organic material. they like sun or partial shade and protection from strong winds.
Good for flower beds, borders, wild gardens and containers on the patio or balcony.
When planting lilies in containers, plant deeply and keep well watered. A thick mulch is recommended to retain moisture. Remove faded flowers but do not cut back the stems before autumn. These bulbs do not require lifting in the autumn.
