Asparagus Gijnlim F1 is a high yield variety of asparagus. These roots will grow beautiful asparagus plants which are botrytis resistant.
Asparagus like fertile, well-drained soil.
Plant into a raised, prepared bed. Asparagus will benefit from an application of general fertiliser into the soil prior to planting. Allow 90cm / 36 inches between the beds.
It is advisable not to harvest any spears in the first growing season to allow the plant to become fully established. To maintain a healthy plant, cease harvesting at the end of June and allow the plant to flower.
Cut down old growth in Spring.
