Maris Piper is most likely the potato you'll find at the chip shop. It is versatile and produces high yields that store well. Maris Piper is also Eelworm resistant. Also good for making wedges, mashing and roasting.
Maris Piper seed potatoes are great for:
Planting can take place as soon as the risk of frost has passed in your area, during spring, March-May. Plant 10-13cm (4-5inches) deep in shallow ridges. Seed should be 20-23cm (8-9inches) apart in the row, with 60cm (24inches) between each row.
Earth the plants up when they are 20cm (8inches) tall. This encourages a higher yield of potatoes.
Watering your plants well will improve crop yield and discourage scab from forming.
