The spikes and "sole" are good quality but the straps and buckles are not up to the job. I solved this by getting 4 nylon dog collars from Pet At Home. Because these have eyelets on the straps they can be locked in position.

An inexpensive and adequate way to aerate the lawn when we are unable to get a proper aerator on to the site and find the roller kind very difficult to use. It is an appropriate solution for our garden. Quality and price both very good. A tendency to come undone - and need tightening from time to time. Take some getting used to. Probably better not to try to use them when using lawn mower (trying to do two jobs at once!) but just to walk up and down wearing them - either just to aerate the lawn or when using blower to blow leaves etc. Have only used once so far and will definitely continue to use. We also need to work out how soft/damp or hard/dry the lawn should be to make it both effective and easy to use. Today it is possible the lawn was a bit too damp. (Posted on 02/11/2010)

Its a well made product. Fits well overshoes, make sure the straps are fairly tight with the buckles on the outside of the shoe. A good way to aerate the lawn whilst mowing. I am pleased with the product and delivery was quick. Good service. Many thanks. (Posted on 16/09/2010)

Need to be careful with the straps or they keep coming loose. Might have been better with velcro. Otherwise, ok. With those spikes, could also double as an offensive weapon....! (Posted on 31/08/2010)
