Callistemmon rigidus Seeds

Possibly the hardiest of the Australian 'Bottlebrushes' with sterns that proudly show off the extravagant blooms. In some areas they are best grown in large pots which can be overwintered indoors. A half hardy to hardy shrub.

Callistemon C. rigidus Myrtaceae. A native of Australia, specifically Queensland and New South Wales. The name derives from the Greek 'kallos', beauty and 'stemon', stamen. Aptly known as 'Stiff Bottlebrush' because of its bright upright blooms.
